(NO. THEY'RE NOT YOUR FRIENDS)

The Shrunken Head Of Erykah Badu

When We Might "The Shrunken Head Of Erykah Badu" is finished. Like promised it is just the two of us and sounds as close to our live set as we were willing to allow. It is available at shows for as close to $5 as you can afford. Recorded by Erik Rasmussen in his Chicago studio.

So, Thanks to Ben M. for cluing me in on how to make a zip file. Here is Addie's Diver (Otis and the Rufies) in full, one download, 12 tracks. You can still get them individually at the bottom of this page, though I don't recommend it. Enjoy HERE.

I used this photo on the Bloodstar myspace profile. It does not belong to me. An amazing photo, I wish it was mine, but alas I found it here.

Estrogen and Blush

Michael posted the only videos recorded of Estrogen and Blush on the Dang! Fever blog. The show was at Open House. I barely remember playing. I remember setting up my pedal board on trash bags so the "mud" wouldn't ruin anything. Thick thick brown funk all over the floor and on every shoe that entered. I DO remember Kray's performance that night. I won't go into details. For those of us that were there, it cannot be recreated. But ours can and here it is. Thanks, Michael, for posting these.

When We Might

Aaron and I are almost done backseat mixing the new album. Sending e-mails back and forth, swapping files with the big Chazzleberry in the sky. "The Shrunken Head Of Erykah Badu" will be available (hopefully) at shows in January. Unlike the plush full-figured "Fruit Flies Ate My Baklava", Shrunken Head is just the two of us. A Couple of dudes and a couple of guitars. What you see is what you get. We wanted to record, more accurately, "what we do". We did just that and nothing more with the exception of a few vocal harmonies and a couple of extra layers in the ebow department. Next up: Pagan Death-Reggae.

Dang!Fever

After a fun but brief circle-jerk with Estrogen and Blush (five shows, one album, and a record deal), Michael has returned to his roots....or rather, his bedroom...and only comes out for food, bathroom, or work. Ask not what you can do for your Macintosh, but what your Macintosh can do for you. I've seen more of Michael's pubic hair on the toilette seat, than I've seen of Michael in the past month. But you know what? As long as he keeps doing what he does best, god bless him. Ever wonder what it would feel like to take ecstasy and stick your beard in a blender...assuming that your beard were your penis, and that blender was the hole in you sub-woofer?
